Orthopedic Surgery
Le Veto veterinary hospital in Lebanon is proud to be a center of excellence in orthopedic care for dogs and cats since 1997. Our highly trained vet surgeons investigate and treat a wide range of orthopedic conditions in both cats and dogs on a daily basis. We have been a referral veterinary hospital for years; cases typically referred to us include all forms of lameness, trauma fracture repair, and the correction of limb deformities.
Orthopedic surgeons at Le Veto are part of a extremely qualified team of veterinary care professionals who all provide individual and dedicated round the clock care for our patients. Our specialists focus on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of musculoskeletal disorders. The surgical nurses are highly trained in modern anesthetic monitoring, and through their formal training, our veterinary surgeons and nurses are highly skilled and have extensively studied clinical theory, basic and advanced vet knowledge, and the correct technique for surgical procedures.
Having these experts working in unity under one roof under the supervision of Dr. Abdo Kallassy, a leader in orthopedic surgery, allows us to focus on delivering excellence in all aspects of your pet’s clinical and emotional needs. Our specialists are always up-to-date on advances in veterinary medicine to provide the best new treatments for our patients.
We are passionate about understanding and keeping up with the evolution of small animal diseases. We endeavor to motivate current and future generations of veterinary surgeons in Lebanon to progress with their ongoing learning. This unique service has allowed us to become one of the only vet clinics in Beirut offering companion animal services to include custom made total joint replacements for most joints in dogs and cats. Our surgical equipment is of the highest qualities, and it goes without saying that all our surgeries are conducted in properly prepared and sterile operating rooms to ensure the safety of your loved ones and of our team members.
We treat genetic or acquired malformations, conduct a wide range of surgeries including hip and elbow dysplasia, knee surgeries (patellar luxation, cruciate ligament ruptures…), fracture repair from nose to tail, using a wide range of internal and external skeletal fixators, and many others.
Finally, a member of our team will explain to you how to take care of your furry friend at home post-operatively (appropriate diet, how to administer the right medication, take care of the surgical wound, conduct the recovery physiotherapy…), and we are always only a phone call away in case of any questions.
